Finished Editing

I have finished editing, just waiting for the sound to be done and then it's finished just in time for my deadline. However, my Final show is next week and i will be adding small effects to make it look a bit cooler. Other than that i am officially done, paper work is all complete.
Overall i am really happy with my project i's turned out pretty much exactly the way i wanted it too, the actors/actresses were amazing, i had help from some of my peers crewing for me and playing extras, as i had a little trouble with that, my locations fitted perfectly with the script and i especially loved the church. What i think could of made my project better is having a budget, i would of been able to get more actors/actresses of talent circle, so my extras and other characters would be more devoted and professional as they would be doing something they want to do as a career, rather than my friends helping me out. Also i could of got some more crew of talent circle as most of the time there was only three of us, other times one or two of my peers helped me out when they were available. I also could of made my actors/actresses days of filming more comfortable if i had money to buy more food or put them up if needed, as well as buying props and costumes rather than asking them to bring they're own. Luckily my actors/actresses knew they're characters very well and understood my vision so they're costumes that they brought with them fitted the show very well.

Filming

Filming went really well on the 7th, 8th, and 9th, especially considering so many people dropped out and extra's were very unreliable along with 'crew'. In th end there was three/four crew on most days and two of us on the first half of the first day.

I started editing the Monday after however, i was editing on my macbook which only has 2gb of ram and there was too much footage for my mac to handle. After trying to fix the problem for several days, i decided to use a imac instead as my college tutor said i could borrow it, it is now back on track, fingers crossed it will be finished a week today. (although its not looking like :/)

Fundrasing

When it comes to my indiegogo site, that was a complete and utter fail! I think the reason for this is didnt have enough time or enough people in my group to help me spead the word and enough time to make my page as amazing as it could of been.

Thankfully my college alowed me to have a last minite cake sale to raise a bit of money and the rest will have to come out of my personal account, hopefully there wont be too much to cover.

Complications

It's been a hard two weeks concidering we've had a short deadline and lots to do, however, even after 4 of my main characters dropping out and one re-joing the cast it all seems to be coming to plan.

All bar two of my locations are confirmed, all roles are filled and we are nearly ready to shoot next week.

The way i want it to look..

I got these images of google, its modern film noir, i really like the dark shadowy look and this is how i want my Piolt epiosde for my Tv Drama to look!

Fundrasing

Iv'e created a indieGoGo page for people to donate to my campaign for my project, i should be uploading a  video for it later today. Check it out http://www.indiegogo.com/bloodline-1

FMP Proposal

For my Final major project I am going to be making a 10 minutes pilot episode for a supernatural TV drama. My target audience is going to be male and female 18- 45, I am producing it as if it’s for channel4/e4 post watershed (due to content). I’ve chosen this genre as its has recently became very popular, however, the genre has been more for girls since twilight and vampire diaries, so I wanted to make something that would interest both equally, with a twist of vampire diaries and evolution, using ‘real’ vampire stories I have come up with my idea. The story of the supernatural in the “real” world were vampires and werewolf’s get along (for now), a very old secret of betrayal surfaces and rivals them against each other, although both gang leaders are reluctant to start a war as they are older, wiser and aware of the consequences. The witches are the most powerful of all but are the people who keep things in order and stopping the mortals from finding out about these other species amongst them. Throughout the episode it becomes clear that there is a conspiracy against the werewolf’s and a corrupt witch is involved. The series is going to be set from the werewolf’s point of view rather than the vampire’s or witches. When it comes to the visual style I am going to do a take on film noir, obviously in the colour. Using lots of warm and dark colours, lots of shadows with a gritty look. The sound and music is going to be typical horror with some urban influences as the program has some urban elements as well as the classic werewolf/vampire/witch. Along with this there will be some extra sound and voice distortion on certain characters voices to add something extra that visuals or dialogue alone couldn’t do alone.
